Igor Begelman is a virtuoso clarinet player. He has performed solos with a number of orchestras and also plays chamber music. His imagination on his instrument has been praised by critics as a ‘remarkable display of music making’ and has earned him an impressive list of prizes, engagements, and honors, including the Avery Fisher Career Grant awarded to outstanding American artists.

Begelman and Bowdoin’s Beckwith Artist in Residence George Lopez perform sonatas by Brahms and Poulence as well as a medley of songs from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.
