DeRay Mckesson ’07: The Intersection Between Education and Justice

In a conversation moderated by Ashley Bomboka ’16 and Danny Mejia-Cruz ’16, DeRay Mckesson ’07 returned to campus to discuss his experiences teaching 6th grade in NYC through Teach for America, serving as a school district administrator in two major cities. He also spoke about his work documenting the events of Ferguson and protests nationwide via Twitter. Mckesson is a co-founder of and the founder/co-director of the Ferguson Protestor.
