Family Weekend Performance: Bowdoin College Concert Band

John P. Morneau will conduct this musical tribute to the grandeur of one of the world’s greatest natural wonders – its mountains – featuring music derived from the various cultures of mountainous regions. The program will feature the premiere performance of “Three Mountain Songs: A Jazz Medley,” arranged by Bowdoin graduate T. Douglas Stenberg ’56 of Cushing (tdstenberg.com). The three selections are in different jazz genres: Mountain Greenery-Rodgers and Hart (1926); Go Tell It On The Mountain-(Spiritual, 1865); and She’ll Be Coming ‘Round The Mountain-(Traditional Children’s Song).

  1. Thank you so much for the opportunity for family members to get to see our loved ones perform. I never missed my grandson’s performances from the sixth grade until he was graduated from high school. I enjoy the concerts. Sincerely, Dr. Suzanne Reirdon
