With Anthony Antolini ’63 at the podium, Bowdoin Chorus collaborates with harpist Virginia Flanagan in a concert of seasonal music entitled ‘Harps of Gold.’ Featured works include Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, Frank Ferko’s Festival of Carols, Kirke Mechem’s Seven Joys of Christmas, Randall Thompson’s Alleluia, and Michael Larkin’s Fantasy on Creator of the Stars of Night.
Flanagan is harpist with the Midcoast, Bangor, and Augusta Symphonies and director of “Hands-On Harp,” a group-format beginner-level introduction to harp playing in mid-coast Maine.
